Winemaking through three generation

At first, we only made wine as a primary producer, then Puklusvin Kft. was founded in November 1998, which still operates as a family business today.

Our company was founded by János Puklus and his wife, and in 2003 their daughter Judit and her husband Sándor joined to their winery. Today, their twin grandsons Gábor and Péter, who graduated as viticultural engineers in 2023, are also actively involved in the life of Puklusvin Kft.

In the first 5 years, we exclusively produced dry red wine, mostly from Bluefränkish, which we currently grow on 20 hectares. Over the years, the needs of our customers have inspired us, to expand our product range.

Our plantations

Currently, we grow 16 types of grape varieties on 46 hectares in Fertőszentmiklós. Our plantations are all younger than 20 years old, cultivated in medium-height cordon.

Thanks to the individual climate conditions in our area, our wines are softer than wines made in other parts of the wine region.

During making our wines, we respect the natural processes. We intervene only to the extent necessary and sufficient to preserve the character and expressive power of the grapes.

We are pleased to present the premium products of Puklusvin Winery, the Gemini brand.

By 2015, we reached the farm size of 46 hectares with 16 different grape varieties. With this, we have created the opportunity to create wines of adequate quality and variety. After the great success of our high-quality varietal wines, which are now bottled, we dared to dream big.

In 2021, the third generation of our family, the twins who graduated as viticultural engineers, created the first representative of the Gemini wine family, the NégyN cuvée, through controlled fermentation. We named our premium brand Gemini in their honor.

The main secret of making good wine is the production of the high quality ingredients.
Our main variety is, of course, the defining variety of the Sopron wine region, Kékfrankos, which we grow on 20 hectares.
From the 16 types of grapes we produce, we make red, white and rosé wines in dry, semi-sweet and sweet versions.
